Thank you for your work, Bill. It's good to read and talk about hockey on a hockey board again. The politics and circus talk are beaten like a dead horse and it gets old.
Thank you so much for keeping hockey on the forefront for us!
As always, excellent writing, Bill!
Speaking of Flyers warriors, I’ve been surfing the net a lot while I stay safe at home and I came across a Clark Gillies interview where he was discussing a conversation between himself and Bob Nystrom about who Gillies was hesitant to fight, he said Behn Wilson, whom he lost to while Wilson was playing with the Flyers. His one and only fight he felt he’d lost in the NHL.
Anyway, it was a bit comical how Nystrom was pushing Gillies to get the monkey off his back and fight Wilson again, who was now playing for the Blackhawks. I’ll see if I can find it again on YouTube.
There's a different version with a lot of cursing, this ones more PG.
my memories of this season already seem so distant
anybody wanna share their favorite memories of the Flyers season so far?
For me there's two that stand out. One involves the early season chemistry of Konecny and Lindblom. I remember a 2-on-1 goal they scored where Oskar said he knew he wouldn't get to it first because Konecny is so quick. As he said that you could tell how much those two were enjoying playing together and having success as a line and as a team.
The other would be, well, all the big goals that Hayes has scored. Especially against the Rangers. Felt so good for him and Vigneault and the rest of the team.

The game on January 13th against Boston sticks out for me, they were down 5-2 and came back, Sanheim had a great game offensively, I think that's when they started to believe in themselves.

The Marchand Miss is what I will never forget. Instant classic. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
I loved that Columbus back to back....and that Rangers back to back to follow - Wingdestroyer
that was such a fun stretch of the season, winning those divisional games and putting some distance between us and the teams behind us in the playoff race

The second Marchand missed that puck it became a thing of philly legend! Everytime he comes to town the video will be played over and over
We really did get to see a lot of really good things happen this year, didnt we?
